Membership

The Seattle Reading Council would love to have you join us!
Here’s why …

  • Meet professional colleagues dedicated to all aspects of literacy.
  • Get two memberships in one -- Seattle Reading Council and the Washington Organization for Reading Development (WORD), the state literacy association.
  • Receive advanced information about SRC and WORD events, as well as the WORD newsletter
  • Qualify for discounted registration at SRC and WORD conferences and events.

Joining is easy -- just follow these directions:

Join Online: Go to http://www.wordreading.org.
1. Click on “Join or Renew ” on right-side menu.
2. Click on the + for Regular Membership ($20) if you are a contracted teacher or administrator.
3. Click on the + for Associate Membership ($10) if you are a student enrolled in a teacher preparation program, substitute teacher, non-contract teacher, paraeducator, or retired teacher.
4. You can register for membership as a "Guest." Follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Note: Please select Seattle Council as your Local Council Affiliation.

Download the Membership Form (Regular Membership = $20; Student Membership = $10)
and mail with a check payable to Seattle Reading Council to
