San Antonio, TX
April 19-21!
In just two days, early-bird registration rates fly

A Message from the President, Dr. Denise Gudwin

Welcome to an exciting 2012-2013 year with Seattle Reading Council.
We have many new things happening and we want you to be a part of it all!

Your continued support is greatly appreciated. We continue to grow and welcome all new members. Please encourage your friends to join us – we are a great group of people, wanting to share our love of literacy.

You will be able to access our newsletter through this website.  If you would prefer an emailed copy, please let us know.  We typically offer our newsletter three times a year, in September,  January, and March. We want it to be informative and inspirational – a tool to provide something for each of you. Feel free to submit articles (book reviews, favorite children’s/YA books, write-ups of our professional learning opportunities) – we would love to include your words! Just email your contribution to Nancy, at nedwards@stmatthewseattle.com.

We are supporting our State affiliate, Washington Organization for Reading Development's (WORD) focus on the ELA Common Core Standards, and we are continuing to bring high quality professional learning opportunities your way this year. We hope you can join us throughout the year.

As we look forward to this year, I want to thank you all for such a wonderful 2011-2012 year of networking, Professional Learning, clock hours, and delicious food, with current and new members. Thanks to our wonderful membership and fabulous board members, Sue, Mary Lou, Andrea, Nancy, and Joan.
